Giselle
Sep 25, Sep 26, Sep 26
Tickets on sale now! Considered one of the great Romantic ballets, Giselle was first performed in Paris in 1841. Originally choreographed by Jean Coralli and Jules Perrot, then reset by Marius Petipa for the Russian Imperial Ballet, Canadian Pacific Ballet’s resident choreographer and Co-Artistic Director Roberta Taylor will re-stage this spectacular ballet for the stage of the McPherson Playhouse. Giselle has endured as a classic in the ballet repertoire for more than 150 years and is among the five major works that define the ballet world. This fall Canadian Pacific Ballet will begin the 2010/2011 Season with this romantic two-act story featuring Ashley Evans as Giselle and Graham McMonagle as Albrecht, supported by the spectacular corps de ballet of Canadian Pacific Ballet.
