| Musical collaboration by Minkus and Delibes this exotic ballet set in Persia is romantic and mysterious. The ballet follows the love of the Waternymph Naila for the Hunter Djemil who loves the beautiful Nouredda. Nouredda is on her way to wed the Khan of Ghendijib with her brother when she meets Djemil who has just saved Naila from the Gyspy Morgab. Djemil follows Nouredda to the palace of the Khan where Naila helps him win the love of his life, by giving her own. |
