 Opening the repertoire is Roberta Taylor’s classical occasion piece, “Soiree Musicale.” Dressed in vivid tutus and tiaras, and set to Benjamin Britten’s arrangements of Rossini’s exuberant themes, “Soirees Musicale” presents the company at its classical best, and is sure to fulfill every persons expectations of a trip to the ballet. Sharing its bill, “Midsummer Night's Dream” returns to the stage with all the magic of Mendelssohn's swelling score and a miniature changeling to boot. |
