Canadian Pacific Ballet is pleased to offer the rental of its studio space for local and international users. Offering stunning southwest views of Victoria's Famed Inner Harbour the space is highlighted by two bright large rehearsal /performance studios (1000 square feet each) featuring a basket weave under flooring, two Black (reversible) marley dance floors, a full sound system, southwest facing bay windows, large mirrors, high ceilings and two dressing carols.
Having recently gone through a major renovation, the studios have been transformed into a first class dance centre making for a wonderful addition to the history of this unique heritage building.
Built in the late 1800s when Victoria was enjoying tremendous growth and prosperity, Market Square was teeming with sailors and gold prospectors seeking adventure and fortune! The Square was home to bustling hotels, saloons, and shops that outfitted thousands of miners on their way to the Klondike gold fields. Market Square was a hub of lively activity offering a bold contrast to Victoria's image as a "quaint bit of Old England"!
Market Square is the home of some of Victoria's finest outdoor festivals. With a host of activities for kids, and quality local and North American performance bands, the Square is alive with music, dancing and laughter. Each season brings new sights and sounds to the courtyard. From visiting bands and choirs in the spring through the busy festival summer season, right on to the celebrations at Christmas.
With more than 35 unique owner-operated stores and restaurants Market Square is the perfect place to visit over and over again. Please contact Anthony Edgington for all rental rates and booking inquiries. All rental rates are dependent on nature of function, number of guests/users, duration of rental time, and requirements needed. Please note that capacity is capped at no more than 50 persons in each studio at any given time.
